Executive Assistant to President & Chief Executive Officer
Ann is the Executive Assistant to the President & Chief Executive Officer at InterGen, a global power generation firm. She has more than 20 years’ experience helping C-Level executives succeed.
Ann joined InterGen in 2013 and in addition to supporting the CEO, she also provides support to the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining InterGen, Ann supported the CEO at DynamicOps and held various roles supporting the President and C-Level staff at Comverse, Inc.
Ann is a strong proponent for continuing education and professional development. She has recently obtained expert-level Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote and is working toward her master-level Excel certification. In addition, she received the Advanced Certificate for the Executive Assistant (ACEATM) accreditation in 2017 and the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2007.
Ann has robust experience handling many high priority tasks such as intense calendar management, meeting and event coordination, and complex global travel. She maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality while acting as liaison with Board of Directors, customers and employees. She demonstrates a strong work ethic with a “can do” attitude. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.

Why is the Executive Leadership Support Forum important for executive assistants?
Professional development is vital in our roles. We need to stay on top of the trends and one step ahead of our executives. We are our best resource and the networking and education that comes from these events is invaluable. As an attendee, you not only walk away with the knowledge gained from the sessions, but a wider network of peers to reach out to for support, guidance and ideas.
Name one thing you hope to learn or discuss with your peers at the ELS Forum.
I am always eager to discuss best practices with fellow EA’s. As I have yet to find a good solution to seeing my executive’s calendar on my phone, I’d love to discuss this topic with my peers at the ELS Forum.
In your mind, what is one tool you can’t live without or find especially helpful in your position?
It is probably the most under-utilized Microsoft product, but I would not be as efficient without OneNote. This tool is free as a part of the Microsoft Office suite and a lot of people have never heard of it. OneNote is an electronic notebook with a dynamic search engine, and as a bonus it allows multi-user collaboration. I use it for meeting minutes, project management, check lists, a place to house my post-it notes and just about everything else. If there is anything I need to remember, it’s in my OneNote notebook and I can access it within seconds.
